About Us
We met in 2015 and were soon inspired to open “Baalot Melacha,” a studio for the design and production of wood furniture and objects.
We sat on the stairs at a party and got carried away as we told each other about our first steps in the woodworking world. With butterflies in our stomachs we began meeting up and building our dream. Due to our shared love for materials and craft, we got each other from the moment we met. And we began the journey of building a business, gaining expertise in woodworking and deepening our knowledge of wood.
We rented a small corner in a woodshop in the Shapira neighborhood in Tel Aviv and got to work. After three years we opened our own woodshop in the Noga neighborhood in Jaffa, a place that has become our home. A place to work, eat, host and dream. The customers who have worked with us over the years gave us the strength to keep doing what we were doing. Over the course of seven years of making bespoke furniture, we gained rich experience in a variety of projects and techniques.
We then made a decision to make a profound change in the business. We mustered the courage to design and manufacture furniture and products ourselves and put playing with materials front and center.
We got back to playing and testing the boundaries of wood: Drawing, sketching, turning, planing and carving. To experimenting. We continue to study this material, which on one hand is so familiar to us, and on the other holds the secret of existence itself.
All our furniture is handmade by us, from the design stage to the finished product. Every product gets our full attention, with consideration of the material and our clients’ needs. That’s why no two pieces of furniture are exactly alike. Our process involves both traditional and modern techniques.We use quality materials, and make furniture that can be passed down from generation to generation.
Anat Glazer completed the Labor Ministry’s professional woodworking course and then went on to specialize in woodturning. She graduated with a master’s degree in industrial design from Bezalel - Academy of Art and Design.
Doron Shay completed the Labor Ministry’s professional woodworking course and then studied traditional woodworking at École Boulle in Paris.

סטודיו נגרות אומן לעיצוב וייצור רהיטים וחפצים מעץ בעבודת יד, בבעלותן של ענת גלזר ודורון שי, הממוקם בשכונת נגה ביפו.
בסטודיו ניתן למצוא קולקצייה משתנה של רהיטים גדולים לצד פסלים וחפצים שימושיים לבית. כל פרטי הקולקצייה קורמים עור וגידים אצלנו בנגריה, מהסקיצה הראשונית דרך עבודת הייצור ועד שלב הגימור. כמו קהל לקוחותינו, כל פריט שאנו מייצרות מקבל יחס אישי תוך שימת דגש מיוחד לחומר ממנו עשוי. תהליכי העבודה שלנו משלבים בין טכניקות מסורתיות למודרניות תוך בחינה מתמדת של האפשרויות שהעץ מביא עימו. כך, ממשיכות להעמיק ברזי החומר הכה מוכר לנו, אך גם טומן בחובו סודות עתיקים כסוד הבריאה כולה.
השפה העיצובית של הסטודיו מאפשרת גמישות רבה בהתאמה של הרהיטים לצרכים ולרצונות השונים של לקוחותינו. עבודת ההתאמה של פרטי הקולקציה לצרכי הלקוחות מפתחת ומרחיבה את האפשרויות הקיימות. כל פריט ניתן להזמנה במגוון צבעים, מידות וסוגי עץ. הרהיטים שלנו מיוצרים מחומרי גלם איכותיים הנבחרים בקפידה.
תוצרי הסטודיו מוצגים בתערוכות כמו צבע טרי, נגר אומן, ועוד. עבודות הנגרות המורכבות מופיעות בבתי עסק וחנויות בוטיק מובילות ברחבי הארץ. בצמוד לנגריה נמצא חלל תצוגה המכיל את פריטי הקולקציה, וניתן להגיע להתרשם מהם, למשש אותם, ולפגוש את ענת ודורון עם כוס קפה.
קצת עלינו
בשנת 2015, המפגש בינינו הוליד את בעלות מלאכה. מתוך האהבה המשותפת לעץ וליצירה הבנו אחת את השנייה מהרגע הראשון. התחלנו במסע משותף של התמקצעות בנגרות, היכרות מעמיקה עם העץ, פיתוח שפה עיצובית ובנייה של עסק. אט אט התעצבה לה קולקציה שלמה המבטאת את החברות העמוקה בינינו - מדוייקת, רכה, עדינה ובעיקר - מרגשת. עם השנים הסטודיו הפך לבית עבורנו. מקום ליצור, לאכול, לארח, ובעיקר לחלום. כבר מעל לעשור שאנו צוברות ניסיון עשיר במגוון פרוייקטים, הזמנות אישיות, ושימוש בטכניקות ייצור מורכבות.
ענת גלזר - בעלת תואר שני בעיצוב תעשייתי מבצלאל. סיימה קורס נגרות של משרד התמ"ת ולאחר מכן התמחתה בחריטת עץ.
דורון שי - סיימה קורס נגרות של משרד התמ"ת ולאחר מכן למדה נגרות מסורתית ב- École Boulle בפריז.
